A Church is for life, not just for Christmas!
Coming to Church can be a daunting experience if you haven’t been for a while or never at all. Some questions may spring to mind as you approach. Are people going to be friendly? Shall I know where to sit and what books to use? Will I feel like a fish out of water? It doesn’t matter if you cannot stay for the whole hour or so – 15 minutes or half an hour is OK. Or just come along at 11am after the service for a cup of tea/coffee and a chat. We offer friendship and companionship!
We have changed the time of the service from 10.45 to 10am in the hope that this may attract more people who we know have such busy lives. Children are welcome at any service. We have upgraded the Childrens' area to make it a much more welcome space. The 2nd Sunday of the month is called “Cafe Church” which is a simple get together and very child-friendly – there is usually a craft activity which they will enjoy and lots of chatting around small tables, a few prayers and songs of your choice. Piano players are extremely welcome! (Though we now have a new “bluetooth” link enabling downloaded songs and hymns to be played!)
It is not long since Harthill Methodist Chapel closed. Please don’t let this happen to All Hallows Church!

CHRISTINGLE SERVICES 2026 - For safety reasons due to large numbers of visitors anticipated and a reduced capacity with the Christmas tree festival, the PCC has decided to hold TWO Christingle services this year. The first one will be combined with a Nativity (dressing up) service on Sat 19 December at 3pm and be very suitable for young children. The other one will be at 5.30pm on Christmas Eve.

ALL HALLOWS CHURCHYARD - The box hedge around the circular area where ashes are buried in the "New" Churchyard was removed in October 2025 due to a severe fungal infection. As yet, no decision has been reached regarding a replacement boundary for the area. If you have any questions please email allhallowsharthill@gmail.com
VOLUNTEERS - We do need extra helpers for all different kinds of jobs. If you feel you can help with cleaning the Church, sweeping leaves or clerical tasks please do let us know. NEW HOPE FOODBANK
We continue to donate non-perishable food items in the CHURCH PORCH. These are taken up to the warehouse each Monday where they are made up into food parcels for those in need.
Cleaning products and toiletries are also welcomed.
There is also a bag in the Church Porch for bras! They need to be clean and in good condition. They are sent off to Africa for young women who cannot afford them.
UKRAINE - We are also now collecting toiletries, nappies, pet food, power banks for those suffering in Ukraine. Please leave these items at the back of All Hallows Church Harthill, not in the porch where items are sent to the local Food bank.
A CASHLESS SOCIETY? - few people carry cash now. Do you feel that you could make a small regular donation to keep All Hallows running? By visiting www.parishgiving.org.uk and entering All Hallows Harthill into the parish search (or S26) you can donate a small amount. Every little helps. One-off donations are also accepted by the Parish Giving Scheme. (If you are a UK tax payer they will claim back 25% of your donation from HMRC and also pay this to the Church).
